Cost-Effective Strip Covering with Identical Directed Sensors

We study the problem of constructing a cost-effective regular cover of a strip with identical sectors. Three effective coverage models are considered and their comparative analysis is performed which allows to obtain an upper bound for the minimum number of the sectors per unit length of the strip.
